Thank you for your support of the Third Voice, a collection of like
minded faculty who are on the side of the student and learning.

As you all should know, we are approaching the end of our current CBA and the union is now preparing to "negotiate" with management on our behalf. The Annual General Meeting of Opseu Local 560 is set for Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 5:30 PM. The Thirdvoice urges you all to attend and voice your opinions and concerns for the new CBA. As the saying goes, "If you say nothing, you will have nothing to say".

The demand setting process, which I assume has been in progress for some time now, will be continued at this meeting and so, to this end, we have published a post representing one person's view of the way we should approach the negotiating process. Read it here and comment. Open and respectful discussion can lead to positive gains for us all.
